Maj Gen Jatinder Singh Pathania was commissioned into the Army Ordnance Corps in June 1980.  A military professional with proven excellence, the General Officer has 36 years of hands on experience from grass root level to the apex level in the field of Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Development, Motivation, Leadership and Administration. He has also imparted training in these fields as instructor in premier Training Institutions of the Armed Forces.

The General Officer is an ammunition specialist having extensive hands on experience in India as well as abroad under UN Peace Keeping operations. Besides commanding units providing logistics support to the Army during Counter Insurgency operations in Eastern and Northern Command, the General Officer also has the distinction of having commanded the largest Ammunition Defense Establishment of Asia spread over 10000 acres.

A voracious reader, the General Officer is a Masters in Management Studies from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Bachelors of Science from Guru Nanak Dev University, has undergone Materials Management Courses, Work Study Course and Advance Materials Management Course from College of Materials Management, Jabalpur. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad.

The General Officer superannuated in Nov 2016 after a successful stint as the Major General Army Ordnance Corps at the South Western Command Jaipur.
